Dual-Action Liquid Filtration

Introducing the unique Almco Cyclonic Filtration design. It combines the simplicity and cost efficiency of Cyclone Seperation with a patented aeration-skimming technique. The result is filtration performance never before possible.

Stage One: Cyclonic Chamber

Dirty fluid, pumped into the cyclonic chamber, accelerates downward in a spiral cyclonic motion. The centrifugal force of the rotating fluid forces solid particles outward against the wall of the chamber and into the lower portion of the cyclone. 98‰ of all particles larger than 5 microns, with a specific gravity of 1.5 or greater are separated and exit through the bottom of the cone. The restricting effect in the lower cone reverses the descent of the fluid and causes the clean fluid to rise as an inner cyclone routed to Aerator-Skimmer tank.



Stage Two: Air Hydro Skimmer

Patented Air Hydro Skimmer removes particles smaller than 5 microns, tramp oils and other tough to handle floating particles. It removes those hard-to-process floating and suspended materials, returning fluids to their original “new” condition without changing chemical structure. The fluid — now double-cleaned through Almco’s unique dual-action filtration process — is directed back to the washer.

Dual-Action Cyclonic Filtration Systems

FILTRATION SYSTEMS FOR ALL MACHINING OPERATIONS. Machine tools that turn, grind, mill, drill, broach or spin will produce solids, chips and abrasives that can load expensive grinding wheels, dull cutting tools, affect uniform product quality and reduce profitability. Almco’s exclusive dual-action system removes these contaminants and the tramp oils that shorten coolant life. Unit can be applied to existing machine tools by diverting coolant flow into the filtration unit. The coolant would then be completely filtered and returned to the machine toll for reuse.

Dual-Action Cyclonic Filtration Systems with Additional Settling Capacity

FILTRATION SYSTEMS FOR METAL FINISHING AND MASS DEBURRING OPERATIONS. Incorporating additional “fines settling” features, these unique systems are designed to handle those exceptionally tough applications, such as filtering deburring liquids, vibratory finishing compounds, and specialized processes where extra fine particles would contaminate, or clog, other filtration systems. Almco’s exclusive dual-action filtration process will clean liquid finishing compounds and industrial coolants and allow savings in production and disposal costs.

Dual-Action Cyclonic Filtration Systems with Dragout Conveyors

FILTRATION SYSTEMS WITH AUTOMATIC SLUDGE REMOVAL. For continuous, high-volume sludge removal, Almco liquid filtration systems are available with integral dragout conveyors, designed for either floor-or pit-mounted installations. Dragout systems are specifically designed to handle coarse, or high-volume solid contaminents, encountered with heavy stock removal machining or aggressive parts processing. Contaminants and sludge are continuously removed from the system, which maximizes cleaning efficiencies and eliminates settling tank cleaning operations.
