OVERVIEW
RCW-24E System Overview
The RCW-24E combines the durability, flexibility, and cleaning performance of ALMCO’s RCW Series into a compact cabinet washer ideal for small to medium-sized components. Built entirely from stainless steel, the machine is designed for demanding industrial environments where consistent cleaning results and long service life are critical.
A front swing door opens a full 180 degrees, providing unobstructed access to the rotating turntable for efficient loading and unloading. Parts can be loaded manually, by fixture, or using lifting devices depending on component size and production requirements.
During operation, the turntable continuously rotates parts through strategically positioned spray patterns, exposing all surfaces to heated cleaning solution. The rotating action helps ensure thorough cleaning of oils, chips, coolant residue, and manufacturing contaminants while maintaining consistent results from part to part.
The RCW-24E can be configured with additional rinse, blow-off, filtration, and drying systems, making it an excellent solution for manufacturers requiring greater process flexibility than a basic cabinet washer can provide.

Wash Cabinet
Wash Cabinet
Design of the machine consists of a cabinet that houses the Washer’s turntable and spray system. The cabinet is mounted on top of the wash tank, and this cabinet/tank weldment forms the main structure of the machine.
The cabinet is fabricated from 12 gauge 304 stainless steel sheets and structural reinforcing members using all-welded construction to provide a water-tight, first-rate appearance. The interior of the cabinet includes a sloped pan bottom used to direct sprayed wash solution through a removable stainless steel chip tray before return to the wash tank.
Access by the machine operator to the “work area” inside the cabinet is gained by opening a hinged door on the front of the machine. The bottom of this 12-gauge 304 stainless steel door includes a small trough that directs collected wash solution back to the cabinet to prevent liquid from getting on the floor while the door is open. The door also includes a manually-operated latch and a safety limit switch that disables the pumps if the door is opened during a cleaning cycle.

Turntable
Turntable
The turntable weldment is fabricated from 304 stainless steel and is supported by tapered roller bearings that are mounted within a stainless steel spindle and hub assembly. The center of the turntable bolts to the top of the spindle/hub assembly and includes a metal deck suitable for placing basket of parts to be cleaned.
The turntable is friction driven by a 1/4 HP 90 Volt DC gearmotor located outside of the cabinet on the back of the machine. A horizontally-mounted rubber wheel mounted to the gearbox output shaft extends into the cabinet and drives the turntable on its perimeter. During the automatic washing sequence, the turntable rotates at approximately 3 RPM while the machine runs through its timed cleaning cycle.

Wash Tank
Wash Tank
The solution tank of the Washer has a capacity of 60 gallons and is fabricated from 12 gauge 304 stainless steel sheets and structural reinforcing members using all-welded construction. The tank is located beneath the wash cabinet, and along with the cabinet forms the main structure of the machine. Floor pads on the underside of the tank allow the entire machine to be picked up and moved via forklift, and the tank is approximately 9″ wider than the cabinet along the back of the machine providing open tank area for mounting the top-pull-out wash pump. The tank also includes a sloped bottom that runs to a sump area, and a 1-1/2″ drain fitting with shut-off valve.

Spray System
Spray System
The wash pump is a Gusher brand vertical, end-suction, centrifugal unit with cast iron housing and impeller, complete with a 3 HP, 3450 RPM motor. The pump is delivers solution to the spray system which is sized to flow approximately 60 GPM @ 40 PSI.
The Washer’s spray system consists of a stainless steel header pipe assembly that has tapped holes to accept Spraying Systems brand “V-Jet” spray nozzles made of stainless steel. The headers are arranged to provide top, bottom, and side spray within the wash cabinet.

Rinse System
Rinse System
The rinse tank has a capacity of 50 gallons and is fabricated from 12 gauge 304 stainless steel and structural reinforcing members using all-welded construction. The free-standing tank is located alongside the machine (next to the wash tank), and sprayed rinse solution drains from the wash cabinet back to the rinse tank through the air-operated drain diverter located within the wash cabinet. Floor pads on the underside of the rinse tank allow the unit to be picked up and moved via fork lift during installation. The tank includes removable stainless steel covers for tank access along with stainless steel brackets for mounting the top-pull-out rinse pump.
The rinse pump is a Gusher brand vertical, end-suction, centrifugal unit with cast iron housing and impeller, complete with a 2 HP, 3450 RPM motor. The pump is capable of delivering solution to the spray system at a rate of up to 40 GPM @ 28 PSI.
